Develop your choreographic practice with CreativeLab – a dynamic, week-long intensive for young D/deaf, neurodivergent, people with and without disabilities, aged 16-25 who are passionate about dance!

CreativeLab is an intensive for young people with and without disabilities, aged 16-25 – designed to support them in developing their own choreographic voice. Over the course of one week, you’ll be challenged to explore what choreography is, and what it can become. Offering a space to be bold and experiment, CreativeLab will allow you to discover new ways of moving, expressing ideas, and making art that reflects who you are.

Event Details:
16-20 February 2026 | 10.30 AM – 4.30 PM  | Mountview, Peckham (London)

IT’S FREE

Delivered by artist and guest makers, CreativeLab offers a supportive space to create original material, both independently and in collaboration with other young makers. You’ll delve into a range of choreographic methods and techniques while being encouraged to push the boundaries of your practice and bring your most authentic ideas to life.

You’ll also have opportunities to connect with established dance companies and independent artists, gaining valuable insight into the diverse pathways a career in dance can take.

CreativeLab is for young people with and without disabilities (from all backgrounds and experience) who have a deep commitment to developing their choreographic practice. It’s more than a learning programme – it’s a launchpad to grow, experiment, and evolve as an artist. Whether you’re just beginning your journey into choreography or looking to deepen your existing skills – this is your opportunity to turn your passions into professional experience.

You will engage in:

  • Creative Exploration – Develop choreographic ideas in a supportive environment.
  • Community – Engage with fellow artists and local communities to collaborate, create, and strengthen your connection to both your creative identity and the communities that inspire you.
  • Inclusive Practice – Experience an approach that puts accessibility and lived experience of disability at the forefront.
  • Networking – Gain access to broader dance networks, helping you envision your place in the industry, explore growth opportunities, and start building professional connections.
  • Diverse Dance Forms – Explore and engage with a range of dance styles.

The week will conclude with a live sharing, where friends, family, and fellow artists are invited to celebrate your creative journey.
