For over 18 years, Southwark Stars Awards has been bringing together charities and community groups to celebrate the dedication and skill of volunteers.

Each year, the ceremony provides an evening of excitement and joy to recognise and honour those who make our borough a better place to live, work, and spend time.

Volunteer Champion certificates celebrate amazing volunteers making a difference in Southwark. As a thank you they will receive an emailed certificate and a chance to attend the Southwark Stars Award Ceremony on a first come first served basis.

What and when is Southwark Stars?

Southwark Stars is a volunteer award ceremony which recognises volunteers, charities and community groups in Southwark. The event takes place every June and winners, Volunteer Champions and Health Ambassadors are invited to the event.

How do nominations work?

Anyone can nominate for Southwark Stars. You can submit on our online form or send a video or WhatsApp. Each category has nomination guidelines which you can see on each form. Please visit each category link to find out more.

When do nominations close?

Nominations close at midnight, on Sunday the 27th of April

Who judges Southwark Stars?

Southwark Stars is made up of a panel of people active in Southwark’s Community and Voluntary Sector, including past winners.

How many people or organisations can I nominate?

You can nominate two organisations and two people in category awards. You can nominate one Volunteer Champion.
