What is volunteering?

Volunteering is when you give your time and skills to benefit others, for free. Many people volunteer through charities, community groups, the NHS and mutual aid organisations. Volunteering is not paid, but you may be able to receive some money to help you pay for travel to volunteering and lunch. Volunteers should be treated with respect and freely choose to volunteer.
