Have your say on ideas to make the London Bridge area cleaner, greener and safer!
Through the ‘Streets for People programme’, Southwark Council is working to transform our streets, enabling safer, cleaner, healthier and more sustainable journeys, creating spaces for communities to connect and socialise, and support a thriving local economy.
During the 2023/24 consultation, more than 70% of respondents in the London Bridge area said they were concerned about the impacts of climate change and poor air quality on children. More than half said they’d walk more if the streets were quieter and less polluted.
Guided by your feedback, traffic data, and our Streets for People Delivery Plan, some initial ideas have been developed for the London Bridge area, including widening pavements, and introducing more trees and greening, cycle storage and measures to reduce traffic.
Now we’d like your help to develop these ideas further.
How to get involved:
• Complete our short online survey (it takes less than 10 minutes) by 19 October 2025.
• Join a workshop, guided walk or cycle in the coming weeks to share your views in person.
The council wants to hear from as many people as possible, so please share this with your friends and families.
