How often do we pause to notice the subtle biases that shape our everyday interactions? These biases show up in many ways: in who gets heard in a meeting, whose ideas are credited, and who feels included in a team.
Community Southwark is excited to partner with ZS for an interactive workshop for women and allies in the voluntary and community sector. The session is designed to help participants uncover, understand, and challenge the unconscious or conscious biases that affect women in the workplace and beyond.
Led by the ZS team, the session is open to VCS staff and volunteers. Through guided discussions and practical exercises, participants will:
- Learn to recognise and reflect on common forms of gender bias
- Explore how these biases influence confidence, inclusion, and opportunity
- Develop practical strategies to challenge bias within their own organisations and communities
This session aims to foster awareness, empathy, and collaboration. By creating fair and welcoming spaces for women, organisations can inspire wider change and help communities become more equal and inclusive for everyone.
