Zack is a 2020 Southwark Stars Award Winner, for Young Volunteer of the Year!
The team at Surrey Docks Farm are proud to have him as part of their team and shared how he has enriched their organisation.
“Zack has served as a Youth Committee member with passion and commitment, helping to place young people’s voices at the heart of the Farm’s programming.
In the summer of 2020 Zack successfully applied for a micro grant from London Youth to plan, deliver and evaluate a community gardening initiative. Zack’s project was to enabled members of the community to plant and sow wildflowers in Rotherhithe & across the borough, with the primary aim to benefit participants’ mental wellbeing.
He undertakes his duties with a permanent smile on his face and with such a nurturing and principled attitude. Zack has been a member of the Farm’s youth programmes since he was 9 years old and has shown incredible duty to his community and support to the young people who engage with the Farm.”
