The BIG South London programme at London South Bank University (LSBU) is an innovative initiative to foster growth, collaboration, and innovation in South London.
Open to start-ups, SMEs, social enterprises and charities across the boroughs of Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Richmond, Southwark, Sutton and Wandsworth. Across the four-month-long programme, you’ll work alongside School of Applied Science academics at LSBU to ideate and evaluate new and existing services that support vulnerable individuals within your community. This may include youth support services, homelessness and housing support, mental and physical wellbeing schemes and social care services.
Benefits of the programme include:
- Partnering with LSBU experts to develop your services and find solutions to practical challenges faced by your organisation;
- Attending workshops and networking events;
- Exploring funding opportunities for your organisation’s growth and innovation; and
- Connecting with talented students for placements, internships, and collaborative projects.
About the BIG South London Programme
This four-month programme supports start-ups, SMEs, social ventures, and charities across South London. Limited to 15 businesses per cohort. Eligibility: Must have a SIC code. This can be found on the Gov.uk website. Participating organisations gain access to academic collaborations, workshops, and one-on-one support following the workshops. LSBU is holding a workshop that will discuss how to embed metrics and measurements into your daily operations.
The session is designed to help you understand your users better and evaluate the effectiveness of your services.
This is a free in-person workshop for enterprises and third-sector organisations that are working to improve the lives of people in the South London region through mental health support, social care, physical health and wellbeing, homelessness support, or work with vulnerable adults.
We’ll show you how to use data to make informed decisions, tailor your services to meet user needs, and leverage the data for funding opportunities.
