Time & Talents is our December 2018 volunteer organisation of the month!
Founded in 1886, Time & Talents is a charity based in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey dedicated to creating a place where everyone feels part of a community. They bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship through a range of services and activities that address social isolation, increase mental & physical wellbeing, and reduce divisions across the community.
Volunteers are crucial to all the work done at Time & Talents and have always made an amazing contribution to the organisation. Volunteers are involved in almost every aspect of the work that Time and Talents do so whether you have daytime, evening or weekend availability there will be a way that you can use your time and talents to make a difference to your local community.

If you’ve got daytime availability during the week you could help out at one of their many groups or befriend an isolated elderly person for just 2 hours a week and make a real difference to their life.

If you have evening availability you could get support to help set up your own community group or undertake telephone befriending for just 20 minutes per week.

If you have weekend availability, you could volunteer for their ground breaking ‘Cycling Without Age’ project and take frail and isolated older people out on Trishaw cycle rides in local green spaces. Ideally they are looking for individuals who can volunteer once or twice a month so you don’t need to be available every weekend!
