An evening of performance, music and dance to mark the end of Angel Zinovieff’s Material Archive: UKG Cosmology.
Delve into the themes and sounds of Siobhan Davies Studio’s third Material Archive Exhibition from Angel Zinovieff: UKG Cosmology – a collection of works made between 2014-2023 that explore the UK garage rave scene of the early 2000s.
Join us to reflect on themes of collective memory, erasure, and persistence with a two-part performance by Angel Zinovieff and Siin Lee. Activating the exhibition they will move with and through the ‘heart space’ as a carrier of history and a place of potential. You are also invited to dance, dance and dance to Angel’s (incomplete) electronic music archive which takes us through Larry Levan’s synth experiments, the beginnings of house, into UK Garage and beyond.
