Managing difficult conversations and situations with Volunteers - 14 Dec 2017

14December 201709:30

Working with volunteers - it always feels like we need to be extra careful bringing up performance or behaviour issues.  The question is why?

But with the increase in volunteer involvement it is more apparent that Volunteer Coordinators/Managers need to feel confident to address issues with volunteers and not feel bad for doing so.

This 4h practical workshop looks at how we deal with volunteers in challenging situations:

  • Take a look at yourself and how you deal with conflict

  • Learn some of the theory behind difficult conversations/conflict

  • Review and refresh your listening and communicating skills

  • And practice preparing for and carrying out a difficult conversation

Who should attend?

The training has been developed specifically for anyone supervising or managing volunteers to give you the confidence and tools to do good volunteer management.
