Who is the training for?
The training is open to all schools/professionals working in the London borough of Southwark.
Whether you work directly with children in a school setting, youth and faith groups, social care, out in the community or within a GP surgery, Young Carers are everyone’s business and play a vital role in supporting a family member.
The training strives to ensure all are mindful in identifying, acknowledging and supporting Young Carers and their families in order to access the same opportunities as their peers.
Who are Imago Community?
Imago are a social action organisation delivering diverse services and supporting individuals, organisations and communities across; Kent, Medway, Southwark, Bexley, Havering, Greenwich, Lewisham and East Sussex.
Initially set up in 1932 as the Tunbridge Wells Council of Service, Imago has merged with a number of like-minded organisations to form a resilient, diverse organisation that prides itself on the provision of excellent services.
Southwark Young Carers is one of Imago’s many projects as the provider of support for Young Carers residing in the borough.
