This free exhibition at Peckham Levels covers the history and culture of Southwark Travellers from the early 1980s when they first settled in the borough.

It includes the campaigning work they did to establish the four Traveller sites in Southwark, and the formation of Southwark Travellers Action Group (STAG) as part of this. The Exhibition looks at the period from the 1980s to the present, and provides some context on wider Gypsy, Roma and Traveller history and culture.

The Exhibition launch event & STAG’s AGM is taking place on 15th May 6:00 – 7:30pm at the same venue.

There will be music, art, free food and drink and a chance to learn more about Southwark Travellers and hear about what STAG has been doing. Everyone is welcome, but e-mail to let us know you are coming.

The Exhibition itself will be open until 29th May.

See https://peckhamlevels.org/your-visit for opening times. If you would like a guided tour around the Exhibition, please e-mail or phone us.
