Programmes for primary aged children

This summer SPCC is running the ECB’s two introductory programmes for primary aged girls and boys.

All Stars – 5-8 year olds

Dynamos -a matchplay format for 8-11 year olds. You can find further information about these programmes at:

Both programmes will take place on the cricket pitch in Southwark Park on Saturday mornings throughout the second half of summer term (28 May – 23 July).

There is a charge of £40 per child, but there are also a number of free places for low income families. If anyone would like to apply for one of those places, don’t register on the link below (because you will be charged), but contact SPCC directly on southwarkparkcc@gmail.com

Youth Programme

This new programme will be run by a professional coach and will train secondary school aged children in traditional, hardball cricket.

Session take place every Friday evening 5.30-7pm in Southwark Park from 6 May. The sessions are free, but children should be registered using the form that can be found of the SPCC website https://southwarkpark.play-cricket.com/web_pages/youth_cricket

The programme is FREE and all equipment provided.

 

Women’s Cricket

This year SPCC is offering a full summer’s programme for women, run our professional, female coach, Tara. Building on a core group from last year, the women’s programme is open to all, no matter what cricket/sport experience and is a fun way to make friends and keep fit.

This year, SPCC women will play the first ever women’s cricket match in the 150 year history of Southwark park. To find out more, please contact SPCCwomencricket@gmail.com

All session are free and equipment is provided. Sessions will also coincide with the Saturday morning All Stars/Dynamos sessions, so mums can join in while their children play.
