Housing in Southwark, especially new developments, are too expensive for more than 80% of people living in Southwark. This has created an emergency that affects the clients and recipients of services provided by all VCSE organisations and charities in the borough.
SHAPE (Southwark Housing and Planning Emergency) is a new coalition of VCS groups which has organised the demonstration on Saturday 1st March, starting in Peckham Square at 1pm and walking to the Elephant & Castle.

This is to bring together all affected by and concerned about this housing and planning emergency to get the message across to the politicians that there must be fundamental changes in housing policies to solve this problem.
All VCSE organisations are asked to publicise the event to their members, clients and supporters. All are welcome at the event.
