The Felix project in London call out for volunteers in support roles for the following key tasks:
- Van Drivers (C1 Driving Licence required)
- Co-Driver (to support loading and unloading of food pallets)
- Warehouse operative (packing and sorting)
- All the location are based in London
- Total number of volunteers urgently needed in London 70+
Urgency over the festive period:
- Volunteers are needed urgently to avoid food being wasted.
- The busiest period is expected to be 27-31 Dec where there is a drop-off in volunteer numbers.
- The busiest day will be 27 Dec, when a large volume of donated food would be giving by various suppliers as they open after the festive holiday. This would be the busiest day for all the operation centres.
- There is an implication if volunteers are not available a lot of food would go out of date and into waste bins. This would be a real shame giving we are all tackling the cost-of-living crisis.
