As well as our own networks, there are some other very useful Southwark networks which we have listed here:
Southwark Inclusive Sport and Physical Activity Network (SISPAN)
Network of organisations supporting and delivering inclusive sport and physical activity opportunities for D/deaf and disabled people in Southwark – aiming to gain greater insight to the experiences of D/deaf and disabled people when being active, and supporting more D/deaf and disabled people to be active in their community. Southwark Creates
Supporting artists, producers and small creative businesses in Southwark’s Creative Enterprise Zone and around the borough. Also includes the Creatives Network that was previously facilitated by Community Southwark.
Southwark Refugee Communities Forum
Southwark Refugee Communities Forum (SRCF) is a forum run by refugees for refugees. It was established by Refugee Community Organisations (RCO) in 2003 following several years of planning and debate to enable the voices of refugees themselves to be heard.
Forum for Equality and Human Rights
Southwark Council commissioned the community organisation Forum for Equality and Human Rights in Southwark (FEHRS) to act as a ‘critical friend’ to support and challenge them, and to help ensure their policies are as fair as possible. This is linked to the Legal Advice Network below.
Southwark Legal Advice Network
This network is jointly facilitated by Southwark’s four main advice agencies: Citizens Advice Southwark, Southwark Law Centre, Migrant Legal Action and Cambridge House Law Centre. It provides updates on how local residents can access vital advice and information services, and provides support to organisations helping individuals as well.
Southwark Planning Network (SPN)
The SPN links people in community groups across the borough working on the effects of planning and regeneration in their local areas. People taking part share their experience and information and give each other mutual support.
The Walworth Group
Brings together the VCS, Council, statutory service providers, housing associations and other stakeholders that work within Walworth (the three wards of North Walworth, Faraday and Newington) during a time of big change, working with and advocating for local residents.
