The Southwark Health and Wellbeing Board brings together partners across the Council, NHS, and community, voluntary and learning organisations in Southwark to make strategic decisions with the aim of preventing ill-health, promoting wellbeing and reducing health inequalities.

The next meeting of the Board will take place on Thursday 19 June, 10am-12pm, at 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2QH.

At this meeting, the Board will be focusing on its aim of “ensuring all families in Southwark benefit from access to good quality maternity care and holistic support during the first years of life, reducing differential outcomes for Black women and families.”

Items at the meeting will cover the Southwark Maternity Commission, the recent Health of the Borough event, and the Southwark Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.

The Board welcome input and comments from the community, especially on the subject of equitable maternity care.

Questions can be submitted in advance to maria.lugangira@southwark.gov.uk
