For over 15 years, Southwark Stars Awards has been bringing together charities and community groups to celebrate the dedication and skill of volunteers.

Recognising outstanding volunteers and community groups

For over 18 years, Southwark Stars Awards has been bringing together charities and community groups to celebrate the dedication and skill of volunteers.

Each year, the ceremony provides an evening of excitement and joy to recognise and honour those who make our borough a better place to live, work, and spend time. Read about last year’s Southwark Stars.

Do you know an outstanding volunteer or dedicated community group? Say thank you by nominating them as a Southwark Star!

Nominations close at midnight, on Sunday the 27th of April

What can I nominate for?

  • Volunteer Champions – Volunteer champion certificates celebrate outstanding contributions from volunteers who have gone the extra mile. As a thank you, they will receive a certificate and a chance to attend the Southwark Stars Award Ceremony (on a first come first served basis). Volunteer Champions certificates are great if you don’t have much time to write a nomination and want to make sure a volunteer is recognised.
  • Nominate a person or an organisation for an award – Volunteers and community groups can be nominated for a chance of winning one of several themed award categories. Winners will be invited to the award ceremony!
