Volunteers' Week 2019 is here!

Volunteers' Week 2019 is here!

#VolunteersWeek is a time to say thank you for the fantastic contribution volunteers make. 2019 Volunteers' Week runs from the1-7 June and we've planned a few things during the week which we'd like to share with you.

Southwark Council mini volunteer marketplace

Tuesday 4 June from 11:30-2pm we will be hosting a volunteering marketplace at Southwark Council to encourage staff members to get involved in volunteering. Some organisations seeking volunteers have already signed up to attend but there are a few spaces going. Click here to book your space!

East Street Market Outreach

On Wednesday 5 June from 9am-3pm we will be hosting a stall on East Street Market. This a great opportunity to meet members of the public who you might not normally get a chance to interact with, promote your organisation and recruit some volunteers!

We are looking for three organisations to join us for two hour-long slots (9-11am, 11-1pm, 1-3pm). If you are interested please contact Amelia at: amelia@communitysouthwark.org

Burgess Park Picnic

On Thursday 6 June from 12:30-3pm we will be hosting a picnic where different organisations across the borough invite some of their volunteers to attend. If you are an organisation and are interested in attending then please register on eventbrite here.

Volunteer stories

Throughout the week we will be showcasing some of the amazing contributions that volunteers have made in our local community through our website and social media platforms. If you have any you would like to share, please do send them through to: jo@communitysouthwark.org

Volunteer advice sessions

We will continue to hold some volunteering advice appointments during the week. Please book an appointment by emailing: volunteering@communitysouthwark.org or by booking online here

Address: Cambridge House, 1 Addington Square, Camberwell, SE5 0HF.
