Certitude is a non-for-profit organisation which provides support services for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
The team at Treat Me Right! believe that people with learning disabilities and/or autism can speak for themselves and so everything they do is co-produced and co-delivered by experts by experience.
Part of the team's role at Treat Me Right! is to improve the accessibility of people with learning disabilities and/or autism to medical and community services.
The team believe that by increasing awareness and training key staff on how to better understand and communicate with autistic people or people with learning disabilities, we can reduce the existent inequality gap for accessing medical and community services. Health Education England has funded the project to train staff, carers and family members at carers centres, advice and community organisations.
The training us FREE and can be flexibly tailored to your organisational needs and delivered at your location. We’ve recently booked some training for the Voluntary Action Group in Harrow and decided to expand our offer to similar organisations from other boroughs.
The team are more than happy to discuss any questions you may have so do get in touch! And please let other organisations know if you think they may benefit from a better understanding of autism and learning disabilities.
