Bede House are recruiting for a Domestic Violence Caseworker
  • Role: Domestic Violence Caseworker/IDVA on Bede Starfish Domestic Abuse Project

  • Contract: Full time, permanent contract

  • Salary: £26,452 to £30,540 (depending on qualifications and experience), plus contributory pension

Bede House has been helping local people for over 80 years to improve life for themselves, their families and the community in the London Borough of Southwark.

Their Starfish Project provides services for clients who have experienced domestic abuse and who have complex needs. A small team works with over 150 individuals each year using a flexible, creative casework approach and facilitates peer support through the Freedom Programme and Survivors’ Groups.

This is an exciting, demanding role for a person who has the potential to develop their casework skills and facilitate reflective support groups.

You will have at least six months’ experience in casework with vulnerable individuals in crisis who are at risk of physical and emotional harm.

If you do not already have a Safer Lives qualification (or equivalent) or a qualification to run the Freedom Programme, there are excellent training opportunities for the successful candidate to develop their potential.
