Cancer Black Care (CBC) is a non-profit support organisation established in 1995 to address the limited cancer awareness within the Black community and other marginalised groups. Today, CBC remains committed to meeting the practical, emotional, and cultural needs of individuals affected by cancer.
While primarily supporting the Black community and people of colour, CBC provides assistance to all individuals impacted by cancer, whether directly or indirectly. The organisation focuses on advocacy, education, and awareness, promoting cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment.
A key initiative is the monthly support session, held on the first Saturday of each month at the Southwark Pensioners Centre (Camberwell). This welcoming space enables patients, survivors, and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and offer mutual support at any stage of their cancer journey.
