#LetVimalStay the campaign the campaign to keep the Queen’s lockdown here Vimal Pandya in the UK

.

A popular campaign has started to stop the deportation of Vimal Pandya who has been an important part of the local community in Rotherhithe, helping out dozens of vulnerable families in the pandemic as he delivered much-needed food supplies to those in self-isolation during the first lockdown and getting a letter of thanks on behalf of the Queen for his efforts.

After arriving in 2011 on a student visa he went through some expensive setbacks with the home office and now his appeal has been rejected by the home office meaning he has to leave the country by the 2nd of February or challenge the decision again, which would mean more legal costs.

The campaign has a Twitter page and started a Gofundme page to fund his second which is seeking to raise 15,000 and has raised over 12,000 so far with over 600 different donors.
