Support parents with babies and toddlers

Parents and Communities Together (PACT) is a project set up by Citizens UK to empower parents and improve the health and development outcomes for young children in Walworth and Camberwell.

They run a variety of weekly workshops that provide a fun space for kids to play and a safe environment for parents to build a network of support and share their experiences.

They are currently looking for various indiviuals to fufill roles:

Parent and toddler support volunteer for a mums’ group

Tuesdays 12:15-3pm at St. Michaels and All Angel’s Church, Wyndham Road, SE5 0UB

Fridays 9:15am-12pm at Camberwell Salvation Army, 105 Lomond Grove, SE5 7HG 

Spanish speaking parent and toddler support volunteer 

Wednesday 10:15am-1pm at St Matthews Church, Meadow Row, Elephant and Castle, SE1 6RG 

Friday 12:15-3pm at  Camberwell Salvation Army, 105 Lomond Grove, SE5 7HG 

Parent and toddler support volunteer for dads’ group 

First Saturday of every month 10:15am–1pm at Brandon Baptist Church, Redcar Street,  SE5 0NA but we also meet in different parks and public spaces when the weathers nice.  

Parent and baby support volunteer for an under ones group 

Mondays from 12:15–3pm at Camberwell Salvation Army

Parent and baby support volunteer for a Parent University course 

They run a course over 10 weeks, meeting on Mondays and requiring volunteers from 12:15 –3pm at the Camberwell Salvation Army, SE5 7HG

Gardening helper and Outdoor play assistant 

Mondays 9:30am-12pm at Camberwell Allotment, Caspian Street, SE5 7HG

Parent and toddler support volunteer for a cooking group 

Starting November meeting on Mondays 9:15 - 12:00 at Camberwell Salvation Army, 105 Lomond Grove, SE5 7HG

Volunteer Researchers for Mums groups

Tuesdays 12:15- 15:00, St Michaels and All Angels Church, SE5 0UB.

Wednesday 10:15 – 13:00 at St. Matthews Church, SE1 6RG.

Fridays 9:15- 12:00 at Camberwell Salvation Army, SE5 7HG.

Fridays 12:15 – 15:00 at Camberwell Salvation Army, SE5 7HG.

Other information

  • A DBS check will be needed, along with two references.
  • Volunteers will receive an induction that will provide an overview of our organisation, the specific role of volunteers and our safeguarding protocol
  • Travel expenses will be reimbursed against receipts.
  • Training opportunities will be provided.
