Gambling addiction is often not in isolation. There are related harms. At this virtual event we aim to raise awareness of organisations supporting those who lived experience of gambling and the impact of these related harms.
Joining this webinar will be guest speakers from The Passage, Brent Service Users Council (B3) and those with lived experience of gambling and recovery.
The Passage is based in Victoria, London. Supporting those who are at risk of spending a night on the streets and aiming to move them into accommodation as quickly as possible. Delivering a host of services, we will hear about the work of the organisation, how it supports its services users and how gambling may present.
Brent Service User Council or known as B3, raises awareness of drug and alcohol issues. The service provides peer support and advocacy to drug and alcohol service users in Brent. Presenting on B3 services is Radha Allen, Project Manager for the service and her colleague, Jason who will share his lived experience.
Dan Byrne, Education and Training Lead with GamCare’s Young People’s Gambling Harm Prevention Programme will share his lived experience of gambling, its impact, and his journey to recovery.
