The DofE is the world’s leading youth achievement award and is focused on personal development, encouraging young people to develop skills in a range of areas (including skills, volunteering, physical and an expedition). The DofE can be life-changing for young people, improve their future prospects, and ensure they are celebrated and recognised for their achievements.
Through support from the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) has launched the exciting new Access Without Limits fund for community organisations. Through the project, we can provide support and funding of up to £10,250 over the next three years to eligible voluntary sector organisations to help them set up, launch and deliver the DofE with young people aged 14 – 24.
The aim of the Access Without Limit fund is to ensure that the DofE is available and accessible to more young people from marginalised backgrounds. We would love to hear from organisations that work with young people in Southwark and are interested in exploring how the DofE could link with their existing activities.
If you are interested in finding out more, please see our website for further details about the grant, eligibility criteria, and how to apply.
