South East London Mind is offering an important free 40-minute bitesize training that tackles mental health inequalities head-on.
The 40-minute webinar, delivered by SEL Mind (Charlotte Crowe), focuses on increasing the uptake of physical health checks for people living with severe mental illnesses (SMIs).
The benefits of the training:
• Reduce health inequalities. People living with SMI face one of the greatest health equality gaps in England. Their life expectancy is 15–20 years shorter than the general population, and this disparity is largely due to preventable physical illnesses. Work to address this inequality is part of Core20PLUS5, NHS England’s approach for tackling health inequalities.
• Collaborative working. You’ll be in a virtual room full of healthcare professionals all working together to encourage uptake of this important health check.
