Social Marketing Gateway is a leading social marketing and behaviour change agency providing training courses that build on the skills and confidence needed to support people in changing their behaviour.
If you work with residents in a paid or voluntary role in a Southwark-based organisation, you can access free Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training. MECC is about using the power of short conversations to support people’s health and well-being and enable them to access the support they need.
A free 3-hour training course can help you use the MECC approach.
The training will:
· help you to understand the principles of MECC and use the 3As approach (Ask-Advise-Assist)
· allow you to reflect on what you do well when talking to residents about their health and wellbeing and highlight any areas for development
· introduce you to the services in Southwark that are available to support residents’ health and wellbeing
· allow you to access resources that facilitate good MECC conversations and help you to signpost residents onwards
