As a trustee, do you know what to do if someone raises a complaint to your board? Would you know the steps to take in managing a grievance raised by a staff member?

Part of NCVO’s celebration of Trustees’ Week, this session will answer these questions and more in discussion with Eleanor, a charity expert from Atkinson HR.

Session content

By the end of the webinar, you will:

  • understand which situations trustees need to play a part in
  • know the steps to take when approaching a complaint, grievance, or disciplinary
  • be signposted to tools and resources to help during these processes.

About the trainer

This webinar will be led by Ian Joseph, managing director of Trustees Unlimited.

Ian serves as chair of Kidscape, the national anti-bullying charity, and has served as an interim board director of Avaaz, a $30m US-based not-for-profit organisation that promotes global activism in areas including climate change, human rights, and corruption. He’s also the founding director and a trustee of the Olympic legacy charity Cyclopark – one of the premier cycling facilities in Europe.

Who should attend?

This webinar is perfect for all trustees, whether you’re new to your role or an experienced board member. They will cover material relevant to charities of all sizes.
