To help support those who have experienced trauma, you need to understand how trauma influences and shapes the lives of those it touches. This recorded training session will give you an introduction to trauma-aware practice, and give you next steps to folloow
Overview of the training
This online recorded training workshop, facilitated by Thrive LDN, is comprised of an introduction to the training series, followed by three chapters each lasting between 30-45 minutes.
Specific chapters include:
- Understanding trauma and loss
- Understanding the complexity of developmental trauma
- Integrating a trauma informed approach to practice
Additional resources and training materials are provided to all participants, and will be accessible on Thrive LDN’s website and through the training link. Upon completion, eligible participants will receive a certificate reflecting their achievement of the bronze level status and will permitted to use the respective status symbol to demonstrate their awareness of trauma.
Please note that eligibility to be awarded the bronze level status will require evidence that you have completed all three of the chapters.
Once this level has been completed you have the option to take the silver level training, which will be released by the end of February 2023.

Nicola Lester is a registered mental health nurse by background, specialising in working with psychological trauma and developing trauma informed approaches to practice across a range of contexts, both in the UK and overseas.
