We live in a digital age where it’s possible to know more about what’s happening on the other side of the world than what’s happening with our neighbour.

Churches are uniquely placed to be rooted in and connected with their local communities, but with demand on time and resources, they can end up working and ministering in silos, missing out on the richness of shared resources, expertise and wisdom that can be gained when we partner with other people and organisations in our communities.

What would it look like for every church to be connected with their local citizens, local churches and local government? What impact could we have on our towns and cities if the relational dots were better connected?

Join Good Faith Partnership for this online ChurchWorks event where we’ll be hearing from churches, charities and community leaders as they share inspiring stories of how partnerships, networks and new initiatives were birthed at a local level through intentional connection.

It will be looking specifically at how we can build effective relationships with:

Local churches

Local government

Local citizens

Our contributors will share about being commissioned to deliver a Family Hubs service, running a Community Garden in partnership with a local school, developing church unity movements and a model of mapping church provision, coordinating social action activities and using community organising to enact change.

If you’re interested in discovering new ways to be intentional with what you have in your hands and on your doorstep, and if you’re looking for fresh ideas as to how you can be more effective in your community, this event is for you.
