Join Trust for London’s information sessions to hear more about phase two of their Racial Justice fund.
A joint fund between Trust for London and City Bridge Trust, this fund has been designed with the help of people who’ve been working on racial justice for many years, alongside the lived and learned experience of staff and trustees.
In the first phase of the fund, they made six grants to organisations fighting for change and gave out a total of £840,000. Phase two of the fund will open for applications in September 2023.
About the fund
They want to challenge the underlying reasons that cause too many Black and minoritised communities to be denied the opportunity to be economically empowered.
To do this, they’ll fund organisations that aim to tackle the root causes of the problem, not the symptoms. For example, this might include:
- Campaigning and research to change policy and practice on the disparities across areas like housing, employment and social welfare.
- A comprehensive agenda to close the racial wealth gap.
- Feasibility into the creation of Black owned Co-operatives – advocating for structural changes to make business ownership more accessible to Black and minoritised, workers, and communities.
Session dates
They are running two webinars to explain the details of the fund, and how you can apply. Both sessions will be the same.
- Tuesday 19 September 2023 , 10-11.15am
- Thursday 21 September 2023, 10-11.15am
