This is an informative session for charity leaders interested in the new Brain Trust programme – where charity leaders meet with senior business leaders to discuss their organisational challenges.

Developed with long-standing partner Barclays, the new Brain Trust from Pilotlight features 90-minute meetings between a charity leader and a team of senior business leaders, to discuss solutions to the charity’s key issues.

This is an informative session for charity leaders interested in participating in the Brain Trust programme.

During this 45-minute session, you will:

  • gain an overview of the Brain Trust programme
  • gain a deeper understanding on the programme of support from Pilotlight
  • learn about the application process and criteria for application
  • set expectations for the programme: what we expect from you and what you can hope to achieve through this process.

There will be ample opportunity to ask questions about all aspects of the programme and the process during the session.

Brief overview of the Brain Trust programme:

Run virtually or in-person, this programme sees a charity leader outline the issue they are bringing to the team of five to 12 Pilotlighters from Barclays. The team then come up with a range of ideas and solutions individually in response, before pitching their top ideas to the team. The Pilotlighters then vote on the best solution, and in the final 20 minutes, look at implementation of the chosen solution together.

This programme is open to charities that have been operational for over two years, employ at least one paid full-time leadership position (in post for at least six months), and have an income of less than £5 million per year.

Organisations outside this criterion are also encouraged to apply, as Pilotlight explores how to support smaller organisations.
