Peckham Vision Event in November on the Future of Grassroots Community Action in Southwark
Peckham Vision is holding an event at Peckham Levels on Monday 28th of November between 6-9 pm at Peckham Levels which will be a seminar, discussion and celebration of community grassroots action
The theme will be the role of community grassroots action, and the aim is to reflect on its significance in the multiple crises of today and in the forthcoming decades. The occasion will bring together 4 recent publications – see the summary below – all of which have referenced some of Peckham Vision’s work during the last 18 years.
The authors/editors will be attending, as will some of those who have been part of the local action, past and current. Also present will be those who understand the need for radical changes in the way decisions are made about our shared public spaces, and the significance of the role of community grassroots action in those changes.
