Speakers will provide insights, inspirations and challenges to support improvement and change in how people experiencing homelessness are safeguarded.
James Dillon and Jeff Parker will introduce the film Less?, created in 2023 through a partnership between NHS England, Pathway and Groundswell. After the film, they will facilitate a ‘reverse Q&A’ asking questions to the audience about how the film made them feel and how it connects with issues in safeguarding and homelessness practice.
Gill Taylor will be sharing ideas from the Radical Safeguarding Toolkit – Homelessness, published by Research in Practice, particularly how ideas from social justice movements can activate improvements to the safeguarding systems around people experiencing homelessness.
Sarah Reynolds will share the learning from Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP): A Partnership Approach to Adult Safeguarding and Homelessness.
Michael Preston-Shoot will speak about the Findings on Homelessness from the Second National Safeguarding Adults Review Analysis.
