Radical Help: A community public lecture on rethinking the Welfare State and rethinking work, followed by a methods workshop with UCL IIPP faculty
Hilary Cottam is an award winning author and social activist. Voted British Designer of the Year in 2005 she is credited with pioneering the use of social design methods to bring about systemic change. With social justice scholar Nai Kalema and fellow designer Rowan Conway, Hilary is hosting a community teach in on the afternoon of March 23rd at Peckham Levels.
During the afternoon Hilary will share examples of her work and her working methods. A public lecture will be followed by a participative conversation and a hands-on methods workshop where participants can try out some of Hilary’s methods.
Places are free but are first come, first served and are likely to go quickly.
