Join the Small Business Research and Enterprise centre for a session on managing your finances as a new business – whether that’s a social enterprise (CIC) or registered charity.

Understanding finance is THE MOST important skill to ensuring your business is sustainable in the long term. It doesn’t matter if you have the most amazing service/product and making lots of sales, if you don’t know what your business is doing financially, it could all go horribly wrong.

In this session you will learn

• the difference between being a sole-trader or a limited company (or CIC/Charity)

• the meaning of accounts

• introduction to taxes

• planning and managing your income and expenses
