From bidding for funding to spending your funds in the best way, the tools of negotiation, stakeholder engagement and robust analysis are all basically the same.
Procurement is often seen as being purely about making cost savings but there is so much to it – and most of it is 100% transferable to your situation!
Hosted by the charity consultants the Cranfield Trust, this session will cover the basics of tendering, negotiating and contracting – and what happens after the contract is signed.
About the speaker
Sarah started her professional life as a conservation town planner, but moved into NHS procurement in her early 30s and never looked back! Having done a number of roles in the public and private sector, Sarah has now professionally purchased for a diverse range of organisations. She has also bought a very diverse range of things, from energy trader to chocolate buyer, via many weird and wonderful things in the NHS and a heavy dose of agricultural commodities. Sarah is now Head of Great Suppliers and Directs (which means anything our consumers can buy from us, from the delicious chocolates to the packaging it comes in) at Hotel Chocolat in Cambridgeshire.
