Charities of all sizes can and do use PR as part of their overall marketing strategy. They do it to support their cause, increase awareness, and garner support – whether that be in the form of volunteers or charitable donations from the public or business community.

In this session, Bath-based Clearly PR will take you through real-world examples of charities who have used PR to successfully gain the media and public attention they needed. They did so by effective storytelling.

Getting the attention of the people who are most important and influential for your charity doesn’t require a marketing budget the size of a small country’s GDP. Nor do you need to be a recognisable ‘name’ – a brand.

You simply need to understand how to tell your story to the right people, in the right way, and at the right time.

During this session run by Clearly PR, you will gain invaluable, real-world, and practical insights into what makes a successful PR campaign.

You will hear examples of work the Clearly PR team has done to support the launch of a new charity in 2023 and promote the work of another that has been operating for almost a millennia.

You will also take away a handful of tips that to apply to your charity’s own PR activities so you can begin to see similar results to what the charities cited have enjoyed.

This Lunch & Learn session takes place during Small Charity Week 2024, in celebration and support of all small charities. We have therefore made this session free for all, members and non-members, to join.

This Lunch & Learn series aims to help facilitate the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and best practices across the local Third Sector. We believe that by sharing this information, we can all make a greater positive impact in our local communities. We hope that by attending these sessions, you will learn new things, get inspired, and connect with like-minded individuals locally. We also encourage you to share your own knowledge and experiences during the session, as we’ll have at least 15 minutes for Q&A. Please feel free to have your lunch or grab a cuppa for this informal session.
