Eco/Energy Workshop for Support Staff and Residents:


Find out how to reduce day-to-day living costs using eco-tips.

This 2-hour workshop, funded by the City Bridge Foundation, is designed to help your support staff, their managers and trainers provide advice to your clients on:

  • How to reduce electricity bills
  • How to reduce heating bills
  • How to reduce water-bills
  • How to reduce transport costs
  • How to reduce food costs
  • How to reduce other general and shopping costs

The workshop will be run by Donnachadh McCarthy FRSA.

Donnachadh has worked for over 17 years as a professional eco-auditor advising homeowners, charities and businesses on how to reduce their running costs by going green.

He is the author of two books on the subject “Saving the Planet without
Costing the Earth”
and “Easy Eco-Auditing” and is a widely published eco-journalist.  He was the weekly climate columnist for The Independent and is a frequent eco-contributor on many national TV and Radio Programmes including the BBC’s “Not Easy Being Green “and ITVs “How Green is Your Home”.

His terraced Victorian house in South London was London’s first carbon negative home. www.3acorns.co.uk  It has solar electric, solar hot-water, rain-harvester, composting loo, triple glazing, solar battery storage, infra-red heating and solid wall insulation.
