About Me – Amos Beer

Amos started his career in 1985 working as VP Marketing for a ground-breaking short-let company (an AirBnB type before the internet!). From there he continued to work as an Ops Director at an agricultural export business, and then began a 20 year career in international cargo, first in freight forwarding and then in secured logistics. In 2007 Amos became a CEO of a large gas engineering company, where he remained until 2015. During this time Amos began his journey as a mentor, initially internal, and then (voluntarily) external. From 2015 Amos was VP of a global training and organisational development, and when COVID ground this industry to a halt he decided to dedicate his entire time to mentoring. Throughout this journey Amos worked at anything from small local to large Fortune 500 ones. He held all the senior positions in every business area: CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, Managing Director etc. He handled M&E’s, fund-raising, overall IT systems implementations and upgrades, downsizing and upscaling. He also witnessed the poor way in which large companies handle strategic planning (and the fact that small companies don’t), something that led him to create and implement STRATAGILITY – an agile strategic process for those who don’t do planning. When not helping SMEs reach their goals Amos enjoys joinery, photography, running (when injuries don’t stop it, and travelling with his better-half of over 30 years.
