Monitoring and evaluation allows you to measure the impact of your work and should form an essential part of any project. It can help you maximise the difference you’re making and prove to others that your work is having a positive effect on the community.
Monitoring and evaluation includes:
- Meeting your aims by setting realistic and relevant outcomes and outputs
- Creating indicators to collect data and measure progress
- Monitoring: choosing tools (such as surveys or interviews) to collect information and using them throughout the project’s lifecycle
- Evaluating: analysing data to improve your work
