We’ve built on our Theory of Change for the start of spring. Lots is going on for Southwark’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS), as ever.
Strategic Objective 1: A more impactful and sustainable VCS
- Tons of training and one-to-one advice, including governance, fundraising and evaluation
- Additional finance and HR support
- More help with recruiting and retaining volunteers
Strategic Objective 2: A more inclusive and equal Southwark
- Extra bespoke support for ethnic minority-led groups
- Healthwatch Southwark launched their project priorities for historically under-represented communities
- Race Equalities and Cultural Heritage Alliance (REACH) work with health decision-makers to tackle health inequalities
Strategic Objective 3: A collaborative VCS able to influence change
- Sharing information through our networks and WhatsApp app group
- Making the case to funders and statutory partners for Funding Differently
- Building on our VCS Premises project
- Improving relationships through the VCS training of council officers and more business connections
