We are Bankside Open Spaces Trust, and environmental and volunteering charity.
After our successful programme we ran at Crossbones called Exploring Anxiety in Nature, we will be replicating it again this year. It is a programme in collaboration with the Psychosynthesis Trust.
It consists 10 weekly sessions starting on Tuesday 20th August from 2pm to 4pm for up to 11 participants living with mild forms of anxiety. PST is our partner organisation, and this programme is part of our social prescribing offer, and we particularly encourage BAME, lgbtiq+ and minority communities to apply.
This is our second year running the programme and we will replicate the programme as last year and combine it with gardening at our crossbones site, and being in nature as the vehicle for healing.
Crossbones worked well as an enclosed and contemplative space, a safe haven. The first session will include a tour of the garden by one of the wardens to ensure that participants have a good grasp of the history and ethos of Crossbones.
If you would like to apply, the closing date has been extended to 7th August 2024, and you can do so by applying at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVY091j5ClZlXemhErRZOxp6w5C9TBuXXNCSWfLI1EhSjYpQ/viewform?usp=send_form
