On Monday 27 January, Community Southwark hosted a Funder Q&A for Better Bankside Community Grants.
The session gave an overview of Better Bankside Community Grants and their application process, with time for questions at the end. The slidepack and a recording of the meeting are below.
Details about the Fund:
Better Bankside’s Community Grants funds voluntary and community sector organisations that make a difference to people living in Bankside and across Southwark and are working to meet the needs of the local community.
The funding is open to charities, CICs and community groups.
Grants available this year range from £500 to £1,000.
The deadline for application is Monday 17 February at 10am.
Funding is available for one-off or ongoing projects, for charities and community groups whose work focuses on one or more of the following:
- Helping people affected by the cost-of-living crisis, including food insecurity and food poverty
- Supporting people dealing with homelessness
- Bringing people together to build social cohesion and create connections between different groups
Funding can be used as a significant contribution towards new or ongoing projects; or for one-off items of expenditure that support ongoing service delivery or are considered core costs.
