The South East London (SEL) Integrated Care Board (ICB) has made £240,000 in non-recurrent funding available to the Southwark system to spend on projects to support implementation of the SEL autism strategy.
The Council and the ICB have agreed to make this funding available to providers in the local system through grants awarded for projects and initiatives in the three following areas:
- Post-diagnostic services for autistic people
- Specific support for autistic young people from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds
- Support for families and carers of autistic people to develop their understanding of autism.
The grants will be paid for projects and initiatives running up to April 2025.
As part of preparing for the grant award process we are undertaking a short soft market testing exercise to understand the local appetite and to help shape the process so that the money is spent effectively. We are seeking to test:
- The process for grant award including monitoring and evaluation requirements
- The expressions of interest questions
- The methodology for dividing the funds between initiatives and areas.
Please complete the soft market testing form HERE.
The survey will close on Friday 15th September 2023.
