Charities can find out more about protecting sensitive data during a free cyber security workshop at Community Southwark.
The Cyber Safe Southwark Workshop will be run by The Integrate Agency CIC a social enterprise that bids for and delivers outsourced public services contracts on behalf of the social sector.
Only 14% of charities believe they are well-protected against cyber-attacks & data breaches (Third Sector Magazine Dec 2016). and the Information Commissioners Office has reported a 21% increase in data security incidents in the charity sector.
Funded by Big Lottery Fund, the session will inform attendees of the requirements of the current and future Data Protection legislation, and discuss practical controls which charities should have in place.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to book 1:1 data security surgeries on the day.
