Southwark Stands Together is a borough wide initiative led by Cllr Johnson Situ, Cabinet Member for Growth and Planning in response to the killing of George Floyd and the injustice and racism experienced by Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
The programme of events aim to explore the impact of racism, injustice and inequality on our communities, to share knowledge and hear about the lived experiences of individuals who live, work and visit Southwark. Southwark Council are keen to understand how racism impacts on individuals and communities and use this to identify solutions to ensure equality of opportunity and a fairer future for all and develop a road map to tackle racism and inequality in Southwark.
