Walworth Town Hall community space engagement

Have you heard that through the redevelopment of the Walworth Town Hall, there will be new community space in the former Newington Library?

This new location will be available for the community to use and hold a wide range of events and activities. We want to make sure that the space can cater for a broad range of uses, so we have developed a programme of community engagement to gather as many ideas as possible. While it is a few years before the rooms will be available for use, this initial phase of consultation is about gaining an understanding of the community’s needs and aspirations for this community space.

The engagement is starting now and will continue through the summer into the autumn. There are a range of ways you can give your views to feed into the design of the community space. You can:

  • Give your thoughts online here
  • Visit us at the Walworth Town Hall memorial garden on July 23rd from 4-7pm to talk with General Projects
  • Join us at our big event in the former Newington library located at 155 Walworth Road, SE17 1RS   on September 3rd between 12pm and 8pm
  • Speak to one of the outreach team who will be out in the community on different days in the coming months. The phase 1 outreach will take place on the following dates:

o    Saturday, June 22
o    Saturday, June 29
o    Thursday, July 18
