Salary £23,000 per annum (full-time)
As a Southwark-based centre fighting poverty and social injustice, CH have been operating since 1889 and provide a range of frontline services that are designed to accomplish these important goals and strengthen their communities. The CS building houses the Cambridge House team, resident organisations and venue hire facilities.
The Youth Empowerment Coordinator will provide long-term, holistic support to at-risk 16-21-year olds living in Southwark and surrounding boroughs.
You will need to be confident working one-to-one with young people as well as delivering group workshops and activities over a range of topics. Using your initiative, you will be able to engage participants, adapt to their individual support needs and nurture their development, health and wellbeing.
Strong organisational skills are required in this multifaceted role and the post-holder must be reliable and patient, with the ability to build trust and establish positive working relationships.
Working as part of a newly expanding team, your contribution will be pivotal to the ongoing evaluation and development of the project.
The ideal candidate will have previous relevant experience (in a paid or voluntary capacity) and:
